J&B only has the big ones in their websites (below 15k maybe)Ĥ) Allen & Heath Zed10 = Reviews seems good but I don't think they're availabel here in the Philippines. I still have to research on this sa net.ģ) Soundcraft = There's no small footprint mixer that can do all of the above and still stay within a respectable price range. Has all the features above BUT is not available right now. Raon, Quiapo part 2, murang amplifier, videoke machine, speakers, at iba pa.

DAMN, i was highly condiering this as it is readily available.Ģ) Behringer Xenyx X1204USB - around P13k+. This tutorial video shows how to update new songs to a Platinum BMB-One HDD Karaoke Model. Has all the features stated above BUT after doing some research, it seems that there is a problem with its USB interface as there's a steady whine in the 2k region.

So far, what i'm interested in getting now is a mixer that can do the following:ġ) handle at least 2 mics (actually 2 mics is all I need)Ģ) has "effects" such as delay/echo/etc to make vocals sound betterģ) has USB so that I can record our videoke sessions on my Macbook Pro laptopġ) Mackie ProFX8 - around P13.5k. I actually went out and looked at the available mixers. Shure SM58 (original) bought bnew from audiophile By the way, I live in the Philippines (Metro Manila) so I hope that the equipment you would suggest can be bought locally. Please give me your comments and suggestions. Search for your favorites songs in this digital songbook designed exclusively for your Platinum Karaoke player With this app, you don't need to spend much time browsing the hardbound songbook looking for songs you want to sing. I don't want to spend too much as we don't use the videoke as professionals. My Videoke player cost around 16k, my onkyo amp is around 32k and my speakers are 20k+ and my subs another 20k.ĭo you think adding a preamp will solve my problem? Or should I just sell my shure SM58 and get another mic? By the way, my system sounds great when watching DVDs, TV, etc.Īll my equipments should be at least rugged enough and they are priced decently and I believe their brand, although not the best, should be good enough.

I tried all the settings in the amp (stereo only and turned off all the other effects) but the SM58 still played in a low volume.

I understand that my system is more of a movie video setup than a videoke setup but I think the amp/speaker are not the problem. I believe it's 120w x 5 (I'm using its All channel stereo mix so that all speakers will play stereo sound as the videoke player is only stereo)ģ) Speakers = 2x Mission floorstander in front and 2x rear speakers (generic mic = i don't need to shout to be heard)ġ) Videoke Player = Platinum BMB-One with 500GB Hard driveĢ) Amplifier = Onkyo NR609 (2011 model) used as a 5.1 system. I turned up the videoke player volume to max but still I had to shout in order to get a good enough volume for the vocals unlike the generic mic which is very responsive. However, upon using the SM58, it failed me miserably as the volume of the vocals went down drastically when using this mic. I thus bought a brand new (original) Shure SM58 from audiophile after some research.

Originally, I had a generic mic (came with the videoke player) and thought that I should upgrade my Mic to get better vocals. My objective is to get better vocals from my Shure SM58 during karaoke sessions with my friends. I tried researching the net and got dizzy after some reading so I thought of just asking you pros on what I should get.
